The Queen

The queen arrived in Malta on Friday 27th November, 2015. She stayed in Weston Hotel. The queen has already been to Malta many times before, when she was a princess. She came to Malta because of the CHOGM and she met the prime minister of Malta Joseph Muscat and the president Mary Louise Coleiro Preca. They talked about the climate change during the CHOGM. They also talked about the problem of the immigration. When queen Elizabeth was in Malta she visited some interesting places like for example Heritage Malta. We were honoured by the visit of the queen and we hope she visits us again.

    1. When the Queen visited Malta, many people went out in the streets to watch her drive by in her car. She waved to all the people in the street.

Heritage Malta is an organisation that protects the ancient and important sites in Malta. They take care of sites, museums and they also organise activites for school children and tourists.

    1. The Queen came to Malta for the first time when she was still a young princess a long time ago. She was married to Prince Philip and they still did not have any children.

We did not meet the Queen personally but we saw all the events on the television.

The Queen is not our Head of State but the Maltese people love her and the royal family a lot.
